Photo comment By Giotto Bianchi: I was looking for street photography blogs and I stumbled upon yours and your photographs are just excellent. But there are so many challenges when it comes to street photography especially when it comes to taking pictures of random people. I have the fear to talk to people and ask them to pose. Do you have any tips to overcome that?
Photo comment By Linda W: Giotto, many newcomers to street photography face the initial challenge of shooting random people challenging. Try a smaller camera, practice in busy environments where you can blend in with the crowd to start. A lot of street photography styles do not involve you having to put a camera into faces of people, like composition or abstract images. Find a style you are comfortable with, and build up to getting closer as you build your confidence in the street. If you are interested in 1-2-1 tuition with me, please drop me an email and I will give you more details.
