John Free - London Photography Lecture

24th August 2013
John Free is back in London and gave a successful lecture at The Old ShoreDitch Station to a full house of students organised via my street photography Meetup Group We Shoot People.

His forthcoming London workshops next weekend start 31st August, 1st September to 2nd September. For a special blog discount please quote: 'JFLWDay100' on registration!

All workshops include an introductory lecture as well as the opportunity to work one-on-one with John each day to develop an individual working technique tailored to fit each photographer’s unique personal vision. Each workshop is limited to no more than TEN students so that each will have maximum opportunity for individual coaching and feedback on his or her photographs.

You will learn to photograph people at close range without discomfort about invading their privacy. You will learn to find subjects in everyday situations and be able to work quickly and quietly without having to think about, or look at, your camera. Photographers of all skill levels are welcome.

The workshops are designed so that participants will provide their own transportation, accommodation and meals, as well as print processing (if using film). Students may bring their laptop computers to view photographs during the daily critique sessions, if desired. Information about specific locations will be sent to students after full payment is made. Students of all skill levels are welcome. Students using any type of camera including digital, film and mobile phones, will benefit.

Just some of the great reviews received by students at the talk...

Cabana
"It was very generous for John to give this free lecture - sharing his philosophy, experiences and suggestions on method.
If you get a chance, I suggest you attend one of his workshops, it really helped me improve my photography - along with this talk and his online videos"

Saron
"As always an inspiring talk by John Free. Yes we all need to 'practice' and try a bit harder if we want to produce a picture that speaks volumes."

Hady
"I am delighted to have met John, listened to him and saw him. It was a wonderful approach to street photography. It was useful, humorous, informative , educational and inspirational."
